The origin of the happy matching of sweet olive and the grappa is unknown, but this practise was well consolidated ; also lost in the mists of time is the way this secret was passed on from one generation to the next and from cellar to cellar, till the ”Osteria alla Rosa” in Malcesine, where Marco Pallua has revived it again.
